Lucky Chin Strap Installation Playlist
Things to remember about the installation:
Do NOT remove double sided tape paper cover and do NOT cut the magnet strings. NFPA 1970 requires that soft goods including chin straps be removable from the helmet in 20 minutes for cleaning. The tape and string attached to the magnets is necessary to remove the magnets prior to removing the chin strap from the helmet.
The female end of the chin strap has a choke point on the Phenix First Due helmet eyelet hole that can hang up the line 20 snap backs. The strap will fit if the strap is pulled through while feeding in a motion that rotates the line 20 snap back around the smooth portion of the eyelet hole. Be very careful during this part of the install not to bend the line 20 snap back.
A note about installation: This strap has been installed on MSA Cairns, Phenix First Due and Wildland Series. The Lucky Helmet Chin Strap can be installed on Bullard helmets with some extra work. I've documented how it can be done with the 4th installation video in the series.
